A need for money gave birth to Our Story. We were not looking to get rich, nor were we the destitute of society. But yet we were finding ourselves making choices between debts and food, or getting the gas for the car before the insurance money would come out.

It was an insane intersection between, faithfully tithing, believing that God was capable of meeting all of our physical needs and fighting fear about our financial straits. We were having a desire to pay back our debtors, wanting not to live paycheck to paycheck. Amid praying for financial grace, we were graced to notice a spiritual need in the body of Christ.

Initially, in our minds, we would pick a product to sell that was inexpensive and easy to produce. It was supposed to be easy and quick selling. We settled on t-shirts, which would help us leverage our graphic design skills. And because the heart of Christ inspires us, we decided Christian-themed messages on t-shirts. In the very beginning there we would use Christians themes because we are Christians, what was in us naturally came out. 

But the collision of ideas stirred up a vision.

Suddenly making money was still a real need but a longing for deeper & for more became very prominent. We quickly lost the taste for “getting rich quick” and developed compassion to help our brothers and sisters be confident and comfortable in their faith. 

In our observations, we saw other faithful believers struggling financially, including in the rest of our family. So, we wanted to help relieve their burdens.

We also saw the Church not having power in today’s world. At least it seemed to us, like the power and the gospel of Christ was having little impact, influence, and authority in our culture. We noticed a lack of distinction. Few seemed to own their identity of peculiarity.

These are simple t-shirts, that on one hand help you visibly display your beliefs. But on another, deeper level, they are your means of planting seeds of belief and faith in others. They are to start a conversation. The idea is that people would ask you what it means and your job is to share the truth with them.
